After 17 years at the morning anchor desk, Sherry Christian is saying goodbye to Sinclair’s WHP in Harrisburg, PA and preparing to move back to her native Baltimore, MD.

Her last day is July 30th and the station plans a big celebration during the morning newscast on that day in her honor.

Her plans once she gets to Baltimore are a closely-guarded bit of information.

“We are extremely grateful for Sherry’s 17 years here at CBS 21,” general manager, Bill Bradley said in a press release. “Her dedication to her job and her community will be missed. We wish Sherry and her family the best as they relocate to Baltimore.”

Before arriving in Harrisburg, she worked at WWJ in Detroit, WMAR in her native Baltimore, WPDE in Florence, South Carolina and WTXL in Tallahassee, FL.
