Tropical Storm Imelda has been drenching East Texas and keeping rescue crews busy, with some localized areas getting more than 40 inches of rain in the last three days and the rain is still coming.

The storm has hit Beaumont, TX particularly hard and forced Tegna’s KBMT to evacuate its studios and relocate to sister station KHOU in Houston.

All KBMT staffers are reported safe.

KHOU staffers are all too familiar with displacement.

Two years ago, Hurricane Harvey flooded their studios and drove them to find a new, permanent home once the waters receded.

WFAA in Dallas helped keep KHOU on the air while it was broadcasting from the Houston Public Media compound.
