ROCHESTER’S REVOLVING DOOR
The exit door keeps spinning in the Rochester, NY market.
The latest two to plan their exit at Hubbard’s WHEC are reporter Stephanie Robusto and early-morning co-anchor Pat Taney.
Robusto, who’s been with the station for two years, is leaving the business.
Taney plans to leave at the end of the November sweeps.
He’s leaving for personal reasons: “I’m getting married to my partner who lives in Toronto and has been incredibly supportive and patient as I’ve lived out a lifelong dream … to broadcast the news in my hometown area,” the Geneva native wrote.
The duo’s exit follows on the heels of last week’s departures of meteorologist Robert Speta, who joined the station in 2017, and sports reporter Breland Moore, who covered the Buffalo Bills for WHEC for three years.
Last month, Sinclair-operated WHAM lost two key members of its “Good Day Rochester” team, when Norma Holland and Jennifer Johnson, longtime anchors of the morning show, announced they were leaving for jobs outside television.
