Last week, we mentioned long-time DFW Meteorologist Jeff Jamison was leaving KTVT (CBS) for whereabouts unknown.

Jamison being the class act he is left a great goodbye note over the weekend.

“The first time I did weather, it was for an audience of two – my parents. I was five years-old and had a crude outline of the United States over a chalkboard, kept in our living room.

My love for weather led me to the Texas A&M school of meteorology and eventually a 22 year career as a meteorologist, the last 16 here at CBS11.

Today is my last day at the tv station. The list is too long to name everyone who has helped me along the way and made me a better meteorologist. I just want to say “thank you”…I’ve enjoyed the journey.

Starting Tuesday, I will be going on staff at The Village Church in Fort Worth. This is our church home and I couldn’t be more grateful. God has led me to this new vocation and I’m humbled and excited to see how He will continue to move in our city. Would love your prayers for my family and me in this new season.”

And thank you CBS11 for 16 great years..”

So, after 22 years in the business, he’s headed towards the ministry, now predicting God’s words instead of storms.

Good luck Jeff, DFW we will miss you!
