BACK TO A NORMAL WORK WEEK

The six-day grind finally took its toll on “Today’s” Sheinelle Jones and she’s opting out.

Jones this past weekend signed off NBC’s “Weekend Today” because she thought it would be nice to spend more time with her family – a family that includes three young children.

She’s sticking around as a co-host of the 9 a.m. hour of “Today,” Mondays – Fridays.

Six days of on-air work can be intense, particularly in the mornings!

A rotating cast of anchors and correspondents will be joining “Weekend Today” co-anchor Peter Alexander on the Saturday morning program while the search is mounted for her successor..

Jones has been with “Today since 2014.

Before that, she was host of “Good Day Philadelphia” on Fox-owned WTXF in Philadelphia for 9 years.
