12-year station veteran Chris Earl is moving into the evening anchor chair next month alongside Beth Malicki on the evening newscasts at Gray’s KCRG in Cedar Rapid, IA.

He’ll succeed Bruce Aune, who’s signing off on March 6th after 34 years in the chair.

Earl currently anchors mornings at the station.

Her “childhood dream job” is over and WTOL/WUPW anchor Kristi Leigh is headed west to California.

Leigh is leaving the Tegna duopoly after three years and her hometown for Sinclair’s KMPH in Fresno, CA.

She knows what she’s getting into.

Before WTOL, she worked for Sinclair’s WNWO in the market, leaving just months before Sinclair decimated that news department and started doing “local” news on WNWO from a studio in South Bemd, IN.
Llarisa Abreu has taken over weekday mornings from 4:30-7 am at CBS-owned KYW in Philadelphia.

Abreu comes to Philadelphia from San Diego’s KNSD, an NBC-owned outlet.

She got her start at AccuWeather in State College, PA
