Back in May, Diana Williams announced she was nearing the end of the road of her 29-year tenure at Disney flagship WABC.
Last night was signoff night.
But instead of the usual teary eyes let’s take a look back 29 years ago, at her first-ever report for “Eyewitness News,” on January 4, 1991.
In her debut story, she provided details of an AT&T network meltdown that caused big headaches for New York in this pre-cell phone era.
Williams began her career at WBTV in Charlotte, NC. and also worked in Boston before arriving in Manhattan back in 91 – and never left.
