A NewsBlueser reminds us that it has been seven months since Steve Koles was shown the door at then-Dispatch Broadcasting’s WBNS after a scant 9 months.

Koles quickly landed on his feet at Nexstar’s WROC in Rochester, NY, but the ND chair at WBNS remains empty.

Granted, the station was going through a sale, but Tegna closed on that back in August and still no movement.

Now maybe the steady stream of people leaving the station in the wake of Koles’ departure had something to do with it.

Or perhaps it is the fact that Koles was 6th ND for former ND-turned-GM John Cardenas in nine years at WBNS and sister station WTHR in Indianapolis.

It is one of those things that make you go “hmmmm?”
